Tami and I took a quick weekend trip down to Magdalena de Kino, Sonora, MX to visit the orphanage Casa Vida y Esperanza (House of Life and Hope). We were fortunate enough to meet up with Joel & Amber in Phoenix, and they were kind enough to keep us overnight and even loan us their car to drive down to the border.

We spent Saturday, Sunday, and a tiny bit of Monday in Magdalena. Tami (who has been down to CVE before) introduced me to the kids there, we met the staff, enjoyed catching up with some friends who were down there on a work team, practiced our Spanish, and enjoyed worshiping our Holy God alongside them!

To everyone down at CVE: Thank you for a WONDERFUL weekend! It sure was a blessing for us to spend time with each of you and the children at CVE. Thanks for the rides, coordination and communication with us, a bed to sleep in, delicious meals (and early Monday morning coffee!). Perhaps most of all, we appreciated your Christian friendship and your encouraging words and conversation! Thanks for making time to visit with us and we appreciated your openness concerning the Holy Spirit's leadership in each of your lives and your responsibilities with the children. We'll definitely continue in prayer for your work with the children and the community on behalf of the Holy Spirit.

Dios les bendiga (God bless you)!

Right now I'm in Evidence class. At the time these photos were taken, we were in Mexico. Ask your mom, she knows all about it ;)
