Tuesday following New Years we hit the road to drive south. Mom & Dad K were able to take a few days off and drive the pickup and trailer while we followed with our car. The Lord blessed us with beautiful driving weather, though we did have to plan our route around a winter storm through Oklahoma.
Border crossing went very smooth, thanks to God. We declared what we were bringing with us, got our visas and were blessed with 2 green lights for all vehicles passing through customs which prevented being manually searched. There wasn't even a wait!
We pulled into Magdalena on Friday evening just before supper and had a great crew with Schicks, Joel, Fede & Frankie joining us. The trailer was unloaded in short order and we were off to CVE for supper.
Unpacking boxes, filling cupboards, doing some maintenance and setting up appliances took a couple more days, but with Mom & Dad's help, the 4 of us eventually got the boxes cleared out. It's feeling like home more and more-we love it!
A big thanks to EVERYONE who helped us.
Oh and CVE just received a donation of some area rugs and carpets from a nearby company. We've utilized 2 of them already in our living room and office area and they already make the place warmer and cozier! We are so grateful for God's provision.
