While Stephanie is visiting family in the states, we are taking the 6:30 - 3:30 shift caring for her 6 kids. This involves waking them up, feeding breakfast, sending to school, doing chores, and eating comida (big "noon" meal). Another couple takes over for the rest of the afternoon and through bedtime. These are some photos of our first days. We have 5 to go!

We are getting to know each of the kids well and using lots of Spanish, both of which are exciting! We are also learning (with more than head knowledge) that 6 kids between 4 and 9 takes quite a bit of energy! We pray that they we are able to satisfy their physical needs as well as their spiritual and emotional, especially through the unavoidable discipline.

We are also being blessed by getting to know Jenna and her kids (Alexia, Ramses, Jazany y Julissa) and Bere and her kids (Gloria y Bernardo) better by way of sharing the house with them. They're taking the overnight shift for the kids and help us out when we get in a pinch with the language, understanding routines, or discipline!

We appreciate prayers for both wisdom and understanding in the areas of parenting and Spanish. Prayers are needed for each of the children as well: Marcos, Aaron, Diego, Candi, Nereida y José.
